Wartime dictates special requirements for the image of the Ukrainian military and political leadership. For example, after the Russian full-scale invasion, Volodymyr Zelenskyy hung up his official suits in the closet, let go of his beard, and changed into more comfortable clothes, even wearing sneakers when meeting with foreign leaders.
